PH M SOLUTIONS
Civil engineering consulting & software, built in South Africa

Civil engineering design, delivered — and the software we build to do it better.

PH M Solutions is a civil engineering practice offering design, project management, and traffic studies. We also build our own software tools, starting with FlowIQ, to do the work faster and with fewer mistakes.

FlowIQ

Two toolsets in one app: stormwater peak flow across six SANRAL Drainage Manual methods, and water & sewer demand from the CSIR Red Book — all cross-checked against the manuals' own worked examples, not just internally consistent.

  • 01Six stormwater methods in one place — Rational Method (three alternatives, including point rainfall imported straight from SANRAL's Design Rainfall Estimation software), Standard Design Flood, Unit Hydrograph, and the Empirical method — sharing your catchment data so you enter it once, not six times.
  • 02Design rainfall pulled automatically from the SA Weather Bureau's station archive, just by entering coordinates.
  • 03Every figure the manual references is one click away — the actual chart, not just a citation.
  • 04New: Water & Sewer Demand — average annual daily demand, peak water demand, and sewer flow per land use (with descriptions, areas/unit counts, and a combined summary table), following CSIR Red Book Sections J & K.
  • 05Project letterhead and one-click PDF export, for each method and for a side-by-side comparison summary.
  • 06Runs on your PC. No internet needed to calculate — it checks in periodically just to confirm your subscription.

Getting started

Three steps, and you're calculating.

STEP 1

Download and install

Windows only for now. You'll see a security prompt on first run since the app isn't code-signed yet — that's expected, click through it.

STEP 2

Email to subscribe

Send a note to info@phmsolutions.co.za and we'll arrange payment and send you a license key.

STEP 3

Activate and go

Paste your key into FlowIQ the first time you open it. After that, it just works — no need to re-enter it.
